Andy Carroll, BA, MA (Engineering) Cambridge, CEO and Executive Director

A mechanical engineer by background, Andrew has spent his career in the oil industry, initially with BP. He is currently founder and Managing Director of Australasian Energy Pty Ltd and Chairman of ASX listed High Peak Royalties Ltd.

He has worked in Australasia for more than 20 years. Andrew's role at Ampolex Limited included proposing PNG gas developments to the Pandora and Kotuku joint ventures, which have now become an ExxonMobil c.$20bn liquefied natural gas development. Andrew was headhunted to InterOil Corporation to run its Papua New Guinea exploration business; discoveries were made in 2002 resulting in material share price appreciation. His more recent activities have included a number of successful smaller groups – Great Artesian Oil & Gas Ltd, Petroleum Exploration Australia Pty Ltd (sold in 2008) and founding director and former managing director/chief executive officer of the Phoenix Oil and Gas Limited royalties business.

His expertise covers a wide range of the energy business, with particular expertise in oil and gas, from permit applications and initial exploration operations including drilling, to development, production and marketing of oil and gas. This includes taking InterOil Corporation from applying for permits to discovery of a new petroleum system in PNG. Andrew also advised AGL Energy Limited in establishing an exploration and production business with acquisition and operations of coal seam methane assets including Sydney Gas, and Moranbah. International experience includes UK, Canada, Australia, NZ and PNG.

 

Nigel Harvey, Chaiman and Non-executive Director

 

Mr Harvey is an experienced Director, currently on the board of Emperor Energy (ASX:EMP). He also Chairs a not for profit and holds a wholesale Australiani Financial Services Licence. Nigel has a markets consulting practice predominantly on AFSL compliance. He began his career as a business and finance journalist in London and the Middle East. He was subsequently an investment banker in Sydney for several decades predominantly covering the Asia Pacific region for energy derivatives and hedging. He held roles with large banks including JP Morgan, Barclays and Macquarie.

He has undertaken the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and subsequently its updates twice.

 

 

Carl Dumbrell, Non-executive Director

 

Mr Dumbrell is a partner in a Sydney accounting firm with 20 years' experience in taxation and assurance services in Australia and England, and with an on-going involvement in the raising of finance and the divestment of assets for listed companies. 

 

Carl has Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Taxation Law degrees, and is a Chartered Accountant in both Australia and in England & Wales, as well as being a Chartered Tax Advisor, Registered Company Auditor, Registered Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor, and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

 

Carl is the CEO and Executive Director of Herencia Resources Plc (AIM:HER), Director and Company Secretary of Emperor Energy Limited, Chairman of the Kennedy Foundation, and President of St Michael's Golf Club.
